Question

I would like to use MegaDetector v6 (Apache 2.0 model) and Pytorch-Wildlife in a project for simple animal detection, but I am struggling to install it without also installing AGPL dependencies like ultralytics.

To be clear, I'm NOT using any of the AGPL models or ultralytics features.

Is there any guidance on how to accomplish this?

Research direction

Review the project's installation and dependency declarations to determine why ultralytics is installed alongside PyTorch-Wildlife. Check whether MegaDetector v6 can be used without AGPL dependencies, then document a supported installation path and its licensing implications.
