Research direction

Start with the TextExtractor entry point and reproduce the reported input containing ° and other symbols on PowerToys 0.100.2. Compare the extracted text with the expected string, including the degree symbol and punctuation; done means the pasted output preserves those characters and the existing TextExtractor checks pass.
