Description

Description of the new feature / enhancement

I just bought an MX Master 4 mouse, and haptic feedback is being rolled out natively throughout Windows 11 for both trackpads and mice.

It would be great to see PowerToys utilities enhanced with the ability to control the haptics on the mouse and create additional events that can trigger haptics during daily use.

Scenario when this would be used?

Examples of utilities which could be enhanced with haptic feedback:

  • FancyZones
  • Find My Mouse
  • Color Picker

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. Start by reviewing the linked Windows haptics implementation guidance and determine how FancyZones, Find My Mouse, and Color Picker could expose haptic events; done would require an agreed design and implementation scope.
