### Steps to reproduce

1: Enable command palette dock
2: Set Position to Left
3: Add a bunch of icons/widgets
4: Observe that the network speed for instance is cut off by ellipses or that the icons are tiny and slammed against the topmost edge of the screen with huge margins on the sides.

### ✔️ Expected Behavior

Readable network speeds, appropriate icon spacing.

### ❌ Actual Behavior

The network speed is cut off by ellipses and the icons are tiny and slammed against the topmost edge of the screen
