Research direction
No file or test is named in the issue. Start by locating the Power Display flyout and the code that determines whether a monitor exposes playback controls, then reproduce the disabled-monitor scenario from the steps. Done means the volume slider is absent for monitors whose playback status is Disabled while remaining available for enabled playback.
