PowerToys auto-update
### Area(s) with issue?
Light Switch
### Steps to reproduce
1. Shut down computer while in scheduled dark mode.
2. The next day, start the computer during the time when Light Mode is scheduled. Power Toys will automatically update the system from dark mode to light mode.
3. Use the Power Toys notification tray icon to manually toggle Light Switch from the scheduled light mode to dark mode.
4. During the scheduled light mode period, while system is still in the manually toggled dark mode, wait for Power Toys auto-update to install a new release
### ✔️ Expected Behavior
Light Switch would keep my system in dark mode following the update, since that was the current state before the update.
### ❌ Actual Behavior
Light Switch reverts to the scheduled light mode, ignoring my earlier manual toggle to dark mode.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the Light Switch behavior using the listed shutdown, manual toggle, and PowerToys auto-update steps. Trace how Light Switch records manual mode changes and restores state during an update; done means a manually selected dark mode remains active after the update during the scheduled light period, with the reproduction steps passing.
