Research direction

Start by reproducing the Command Palette Dock flow: select an extension, then use the Win+Alt+Space activation shortcut and compare the home-page and pinned-item states. Use the linked PowerToysReport ZIP and the reported Windows/.NET environment to investigate the intermittent behavior; done means the shortcut reliably returns to the home page with the back button available.
