Request for Command Palette history and/or ability to pin more file types

An option to enable a command palette history that remembers the last n number of searches and/or bility to pin more file types like .BAT files would be great.

### Scenario when this would be used?

I made a .bat file to launch a specific application with predetermined arguments and delay. When I type the batch file name in command palette, the result doesn't show up until I write the entire file name including the extension. Pinning this .bat file is not supported currently. So it would be great if there was a way to remember the last n number of completed searches/apps launched, or the ability to pin .bat file types.
