Description
### Description of the new feature / enhancement
It is hoped that users can press the 'i' key to switch to edit mode while using peek to view text-based files.
### Scenario when this would be used?
This would eliminate the need to close the peek and then open the file in another software application! It would make it convenient to quickly perform various minor file edits.
### Supporting information
It would be extremely helpful if a toggleable (or directly replaceable) feature could be added that allows directly displaying the properties panel when selecting a folder and pressing the Peek shortcut key. The biggest issue with the Alt+Enter shortcut is that it cannot be pressed using only the left hand.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the Peek implementation and its shortcut handling, then separate the text-editing request from the folder-properties request. Done means both requested behaviors have defined acceptance criteria and are covered by appropriate tests.
