Suggestion: Further improve Edge Add-ons review speed for fast-moving extension updates

Hi Microsoft Edge Add-ons Team,

I’d like to share feedback about the current Microsoft Edge Add-ons extension review process.

In the AI era, software iteration is becoming much faster. Many developers now ship improvements, bug fixes, and security updates frequently, sometimes even daily. When extension reviews take too long, it slows down product iteration, delays fixes for users, and makes it harder for Edge extensions to stay competitive with the Chrome ecosystem.

I appreciate that Microsoft has already announced efforts to improve review speed and introduced an expedited review process for high-quality extensions. I would like to suggest further improvements, such as:

• Faster review for small version updates with limited code changes
• A trusted-developer or good-history review lane
• Clearer estimated review time in Partner Center
• More transparent review status and reason codes
• A target review time closer to Chrome Web Store, where many updates can often be reviewed within hours

Fast review does not mean lowering security standards. It would simply help responsible developers ship safer, better, and more up-to-date extensions for Edge users.
