Description

For supporting high-resolution MIDI 2 data as well as MIDI 1.0 data.

Many of the MIDI 1.0 plugins for Unity have other performance issues. This is an opportunity for someone to create a Unity plugin that uses the new SDK, supports timestamps, high-res messages, and more.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reviewing the Windows MIDI Services SDK and the existing Unity MIDI plugin landscape; done would mean a defined Unity plugin scope covering MIDI 1.0 and MIDI 2 data, timestamps, high-resolution messages, and performance concerns.
