[Buildings] is out of date in Sharma, Tabuk Province, Saudi Arabia

Your building footprints are about 3 years out of date in Sharma, Tabuk Province, Saudi Arabia. To make way for NEOM, Saudi military was instructed to clear this village and several others at gunpoint with instructions to kill according to the BBC.. One guy was in fact killed. Anyway, the result is your building footprints show what used to be there, see attached image. You can check it yourself in Google Earth Engine.

When will you update the dataset to show the settlement was removed? Will this be a versioned dataset where we can step back in time to see how settlements like this have changed?

This is not the only location where they're out of date. At a coastal village further to the west, Alkhuraybah, where a landowner was shot dead, the building footprints are also out of date.

Start by reviewing discussion 264 and checking the Sharma and Alkhuraybah locations in Google Earth Engine against the attached image. The issue names no repository files, tests, data-generation entry point, or acceptance criteria; completion would require confirming how refreshed footprints and historical dataset versions should be represented.
