Description
The following code does not compile, unless the commented out line is uncommented:
namespace testNamespace
{
cbuffer testBuffer
{
uint testVariable;
}
// Uncommenting the following line somehow fixes the issue
//Texture2D testTexture;
}
[numthreads(1, 1, 1)]
void main( in uint3 tid : SV_DispatchThreadID )
{
if( testNamespace::testVariable * tid.x > 0 )
return;
}
Error : no member named 'testVariable' in namespace 'testNamespace'; did you mean simply 'testVariable'?
DXC version is December 2021.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the provided HLSL namespace and cbuffer example with DXC, using the December 2021 behavior as context. Trace namespace member lookup for testNamespace::testVariable; done means the shader compiles without uncommenting testTexture and the reported namespace error no longer occurs.
