MSBuild structured log not available in "Build Logging" Visual Studio window

Description
When I enable Build Logging in Visual Studio and build the sql project, the MSBuild structured build logs are not produced.
I expected an MSBuild structured build log to be created.
Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > Build and Run > MSBuild project build output verbosity: Diagnostic
It works with csproj project files.
