Description
Currently, our unit tests for authoring diagnostics must be run manually. This includes a hack in the source generator (documented in the readme for the unittests). We should get these automated. This means being able to set AnalyzerConfigOptions on the source code we input to our tests.

Research direction
Start with the unit-test README referenced in the issue and inspect the source-generator hack and existing authoring diagnostic tests. Determine how the tests currently receive source input; done means the diagnostic tests run automatically and can set AnalyzerConfigOptions on that input without the documented manual step.
