Description

Most of the code isn't needed in the ProfilerProxy and would limit moving the proxy to xplat. Consider moving StringUtils to header-only and remove linking.

Research direction

Start by inspecting the InstrumentationEngine.lib linkage and the ProfilerProxy code mentioned in the issue, then trace StringUtils usage. Determine which ProfilerProxy code requires the library and whether StringUtils can be made header-only. Done means unnecessary ProfilerProxy linking is removed without breaking the instrumentation engine build.
