Description
Currently, clog is missing quite a bit of the printf format specification. It should have complete inbox support (no custom stuff necessary). We need to get that working before we can really claim it to be "using printf() style" events. IMO, this is the best documentation of the format: http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/cstdio/printf/

Research direction
Start by reviewing CLOG's existing handling of printf-style event descriptions, then use the linked cplusplus.com printf reference as the completeness checklist. Trace the current format-processing entry point and document which specification features are unsupported; done means the full standard printf format is supported without custom extensions.
