Unable to download to nor upload from /tmp in Ubuntu 20.04

Bug Description

I am unable to download to or upload from /tmp. This works for other directories.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch

2. select file to download

3. select to download to /tmp

4. it will look like it downloaded but nothing will be there

5. launch

6. click on "Upload" button

7. select "Upload Files"

8. navigate to /tmp

9. see that no files are listed

Actual Experience

It says it downloaded:

but when i look in /tmp, the file isn't there.
