Description

Storage Explorer Version: 1.12.0
Build Number: 20200116.10
Platform/OS: macOS Catalina
Architecture: x64

Bug Description

When opening Storage Explorer it forces the user to focus on it even though it takes some time to initialize. This is frustrating behaviour because I want to start it so it can take its time loading and do something else in the mean time

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Storage Explorer
  2. Navigate to another application, even more apparent if you switch to another desktop
  3. User is forced to focus back on Storage Explorer

Expected Experience

I expect Storage Explorer to work like 99% of other applications and start when I open it but not force me to pay attention to it

Actual Experience

When I am interacting with other applications Storage Explorer will get to a point in it's startup routine where it forces my focus back to itself

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First reproduce startup on macOS and observe which initialization step restores focus; done means Storage Explorer can finish starting while another application or desktop remains active, with regression coverage if the project has a relevant startup test.
