Description

I am flummoxed by the results of this query always being empty

let requestList = requests | where timestamp >= ago(30m)
| distinct operation_Id;
pageViews  | where timestamp >= ago(30m)
| join kind=inner requestList on operation_Id;

Has there been a change recently in the use of operation_Id ?

Research direction

Start with the provided Azure Monitor query and review how operation_Id is represented across requests and pageViews in the referenced time window. Determine whether the empty inner join reflects expected Application Insights behavior or a recent change, and document the confirmed behavior and guidance for this query.
