Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Collector tests are unreliable in pipelines as they generally need to run as root/admin and perform actions that may be prohibited in pipeline context.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally these tests should be refactored into a second test project for functional tests.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the existing Collector tests and their current test project, then inspect how the pipeline runs them. Done means the Collector tests are in a separate functional-tests project and no longer make the regular pipeline unreliable because of root/admin or prohibited actions.
