Description
https://github.com/microsoft/ApplicationInsights-dotnet/blob/main/MigrationGuidance.md#telemetry-modules makes mention of _APPRESOURCEPREVIEW_, but I am having a hard time understanding three things:
- Is the volume of data ingested under this metric billable?
- Is it essential for my application insights experience to function as correctly/as intended?
- if not, how can I turn it off to reduce noise (or cost if it is billed)?
I'm doing my best to create this issue where I think it can go. Please help me out if I am in the wrong place.
Thanks in advance.

Research direction
Start with MigrationGuidance.md#telemetry-modules and investigate the documentation or configuration references for APPRESOURCEPREVIEW. Confirm whether its ingestion is billable, whether it is required for Application Insights, and how it can be disabled. Done means the guidance answers all three questions with links to authoritative details.
