Description
Hi, there seem to be a logic to how MT detects the basic language of a given dataset. I can't figure out how it works though.
We've got a dataset that had previously been translated from French to English with Tabular Editor functionalities. When I open the dataset with MT, I see French as the default language, as it should be. However my colleague also opens it and sees English as the default language (which is wrong, the dataset is originally written in French). Their default and regional settings is however French as well. Do you have any insight as to how MT detects the default language of a dataset and if it could be change by any manipulation?
Thanks a lot

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Reproduce the differing default-language result with the translated dataset, then trace how Metadata Translator selects the language and document or correct the behavior so detection is consistent and controllable.
