Issue

  1. Provide a warning of lost changes when navigating away from site. When your 1,000 lines deep in an adaptive card design and you fat finger something causing you to navigate away from the site hours of work can and has been lost.

  2. Provide a mechanism to copy and paste adaptive card elements in the UI. This would save a ton of time finding and highlighting code and pasting it in the correct spot within the code.

  3. Do not set background properties unless a background image URL is specified. Setting a property such as horizontal alignment on a non existent background will cause parse errors. The same goes for empty containers - provide a warning message.

  4. Allow for text formatting across the entire card so that changes do not have to be made to each individual text element.

  5. Allow the size of the background image to be specified.

Start by reviewing adaptivecards.io/designer and the five requested behaviors in the issue. These requests should be scoped separately before implementation; completion would require addressing the selected behavior and verifying that the corresponding designer workflow preserves or edits adaptive card content as described.
