Description
The company I work for uses the gsuite for employee accounts so instead of user@gmail.com the email address looks like employee@companyname.com but it's still a google account. With a regular google account, hangouts works like a charm, with the company account it just says No connection
Couldn't connect to the server
Try again doesn't help and cancel, well, closes the app

This is the result on a OnePlus 3T with SkyDragonOS (Android 9) using microG ver. 0.2.8.17785-beta-1 mapbox (Installed with NanoDroid 22.2 I think).
On 0.2.6.13280 I at least got it to work using the Wiki workaround (although on an outdated version without media support)

Research direction
Start by reproducing the Hangouts connection failure with a GSuite account on Android using the reported microG versions, then compare it with a regular Google account and the older Wiki workaround. Done means identifying and resolving the cause so Hangouts connects for GSuite accounts without requiring the outdated workaround.
