Description

When adding a calendar source in ICSDroid, I get the following warning in the log:

W AccountManagerService: insertAccountIntoDatabase: Account {name=ICSdroid, type=at.bitfire.icsdroid}, skipping since the account already exists

In my account list no ICSDroid account exists before or after adding a calendar. The data entered will vanish after a while (once ICSDroid app is closed?) and no data is shown in the stock calendar app even after refreshing with ICSDroid still open.

Another symptom: In ICSDroid the sync interval is set to "only manual" (automatic sync disabled). Having changed it to hourly in the settings the app still reports "automatic sync disabled".

The last time the app worked for me was on a different phone (serranoltexx) with LineageOS 14.1-20180609.

Research direction

No source file or test is identified in the issue. Start by reproducing account creation and settings changes on the affected Android setup while collecting AccountManager and sync logs; done means the ICSDroid account persists, entered settings remain after closing the app, and calendar data is available to the stock calendar.
