Description

The GMS package is hardcoded in the preferences XML:

```
```

For user flavors of GmsCore, this will cause a runtime error. I am not sure if this can be parametrized in Android's Gradle plugin. I am not sure if the target package must be specified either.

Research direction

Start by locating the preferences XML containing the LoginActivity intent and inspect how user flavors of GmsCore define their package names. Check whether the target package can be parameterized or omitted, then verify that the user flavor can launch LoginActivity without a runtime error.
