Description

Affected app
Name: DiDi
Package id: com.didiglobal.passenger

Describe the bug
The map view on DiDi does not work. As shown in the screenshot below, the app starts off with the map way zoomed out showing everything all at once, does not show my current location and does not show the drivers location. The rest of the app works correctly, minus the map visual.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Launch app while signed in. Will not show your current location
  2. Order a ride, will not show where you or the driver are.

Expected behavior
I expect the map to be zoomed in to where I am (similar to Uber), to show my location and to show the drivers location when a driver is on their way.

System
Android Version: 15
Custom ROM: LineageOS 22.1-20250120

microG
microG Core version: 0.3.6.244735
microG Self-Check results: All ticked

Additional context
Worth noting that I've had this issue when I tried microg on my older phone on Android 14 with LineageOS and an older version of microg. All the other apps (Bolt, Uber, etc.) work correctly.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Start by reproducing the map behavior on Android 15 with microG 0.3.6.244735, then trace the DiDi map and location integration to determine why the current and driver locations are missing. Done means the map centers on the user and displays both locations during a ride.
