Description

Affected app
Name: Marks
Package id: com.scoremarks.marks

Describe the bug
Whenever I try to open "Marks" app it says "Failed to bind to the service" and it doesn't let me login via MicroG and the problem is that app doesn't works without login, I've also found similar login issue in some other apps. So please fix the login issue in these kinda apps with MicroG.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the "Marks" app
  2. It'll show "Failed to bind to the service"
  3. Now it won't to further screen and will not let you login.
  4. And because we didn't login it'll just stop there

Expected behavior
After opening the app there should be a button to login with Google after clicking that google account selection popup should appear via MicroG.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the failure with Marks on Android 15 using microG Core 0.3.2.240913, then inspect the service-binding and Google account sign-in paths in GmsCore. Compare the behavior with the GApps variant and establish a reproducible test or trace showing what prevents the login flow from reaching account selection.
