Description

Name: Google Sheets
Package id: com.google.android.apps.docs.editors.sheets

Google Sheets (and probably the rest of the Drive-related apps, but I haven't tested them) isn't syncing when I enter data from my phone. Sometimes if I enter data from my computer, it'll sync to my phone after some time, or if I clear the cache and manually sync, but never the other way around. It was working for a little bit, and over time it worked less and less, now it doesn't sync at all.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Sheets
  2. Click on any cell
  3. Enter data
  4. The data will appear on my phone, but will not show up if viewing the sheet from any other device

Android Version: 7

microG
microG Core version: 0.2.27.223616
microG Self-Check results: All ticked

Additional context
I'm using an LG K20 on stock firmware, and I had to deodex my ROM with SmaliPatcher through Magisk just to get uG installed. I also used the nanodroid installer to install all uG components, but have since updated them through the F-Droid store. I'm not sure if Amy of that could be contributing to the issue, but I figure since I had to tinker with the phone just to get uG installed, it might be relevant.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the sync failure in Google Sheets on Android 7 using the reported LG K20, then compare edits made on the phone with edits made on a computer. Check the reported microG Core version and Self-Check results; done means phone-entered data synchronizes to other devices without clearing the cache or manually syncing.
