Research direction
Start by tracing how GmsCore exposes or dynamically includes com.google.android.gms.chimera.container.DynamiteLoaderImpl and how it announces the Play Services version to Firebase API callers. Confirm the compatibility behavior against the issue's 0.2.4 regression; done means Firebase-based apps no longer break and the required class is available.
