<Amazon Kindle App>Login to user account not possible

Describe the bug
I tried to log in to my Amazon account to download my books to my Kindle for Android app. The login screen briefly shows and then disappears (goes back to the MORE screen which shows Sign In With Amazon option).
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the Kindle for Android App
2. In the lower right corner of the screen, click on MORE
3. Click on 'Sign In with Amazon'
4. Briefly, the Amazon sign in screen shows and then it disappears again.

Expected behavior
I expect the Amazon log in screen to remain on the screen so that I can sign in with my username and password and obtain my books from my Amazon account in my Kindle for Android app.

Additional context
-- OS had just been installed. Am installing all my needed apps. Used aurora store to get the app. Also tried with app from Google Play store, but same issue.
-- phone rooted with magisk v22 (on prior rooted phone, Kindle app did not crash; that phone was not with MicroG but with Google Play Services).

Start by reproducing the Kindle for Android sign-in flow from MORE > Sign In with Amazon on the reported Android 10 setup, then review the attached alogcat file for the failure. Done means the Amazon login screen remains open and the user can authenticate and access books.
