Description

Problem:
I've noticed that every 24 hours or so the MicroG associated apps stopped working while using always-on VPN.

I'm using:
Latest MicroG
Pixel 4A @ Android 11
PIA VPN @ Always-on VPN

What I've tried:
Creating an exception for all MicroG Apps in PIA. (negative)
Changing a bunch of setting like DNS / protocol in PIA. (negative)
Re-log-in after kick (can't connect to log in servers, negative)
Turning off PIA. (worked)
Reinstalling all apps, and signing in again with 2FA (worked)

The only thing that helped was to uninstall, reinstall and log in on the fork that I have been using. The devs assured me it was not on their end.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the failure on Android 11 with Always-on VPN and PIA, observing MicroG apps across the reported IP change. The report names no source file or test; done would require identifying the cause and verifying that MicroG connectivity recovers without reinstalling or disabling the VPN.
