Description
Description of the problem or steps to reproduce
Running any command involving micro produces the following output:
"/ has 'other' write 40777"
I tried the commands "micro", "micro test.txt" and "micro -version".
Specifications
Version: 1.3.4 (via prebuilt binary)
I also tried the version that is distributed via snap. This is micro's line in snap list's output:
micro 0+git.5fc8f84 461 zy classic
OS: Ubuntu 16.04
Terminal: urxvt, sakura
Update
The prebuilt binary works fine, I accidentally used the one installed via snap.

Research direction
Reproduce the warning using the snap-installed micro on Ubuntu 16.04, then compare it with the prebuilt binary, which the update says works. The issue does not name a source file or test; done would require identifying the snap-specific cause and confirming that the warning no longer appears for the reported commands.
