Description
When reviewing code, I often want to see where a symbol is used.
Other modern editors will highlight all visible strings that are the same as the current selection, so figuring out where something is used is as simple as selecting it and looking for other selected words:
Vscode will even go a step further and highlight matching symbols immediately when positioning the cursor on the symbol, and have a different highlight-mode for highlighting selections (above):

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points; begin by locating the editor's selection and cursor-highlighting behavior. Done means visible matching symbols are highlighted for a selection and when the cursor is on a symbol, with distinct behavior for the two modes.
