Description
I am using micro 2.0.13 and Ghostty 1.2.0 over a high-latency SSH connection. I am just tapping ctrl-x to cut, but every other time, it causes a paste.
The only configured setting is { "clipboard": "terminal" }.

Research direction
No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Start by reproducing the behavior with micro 2.0.13, Ghostty 1.2.0, the terminal clipboard setting, and a high-latency SSH connection; done means Ctrl-X cuts without intermittently triggering a paste.
