Description

If you open a file and the syntax highlighting reads a quotation marks, which is in a comment (line or block comment) the following text will be interpreted as a string. I noticed this with the filetype php, but i'm sure this issue exists in more languages.

Research direction

Reproduce the problem in a PHP file by placing quotation marks inside a line or block comment, then inspect the syntax-highlighting implementation that classifies the following text. Confirm the behavior across the affected comment forms and languages, and consider the issue done when quoted text in comments no longer changes the highlighting of subsequent code.
