Description

Description of the problem or steps to reproduce

Default config. Clipboard: external. wl-clipboard installed. Mouse: on
wl-paste show selected text in micro with mouse. If select with clipboard, clipboard stays the same.

Specifications

Well. I can't find any info about this, but I don't want to copy anything with mouse selection.

On another machine, NixOS, KDE, Xorg - clipboard manager ignore this kind of selection while they still appear in xclip -o.

Research direction

Reproduce the behavior with the default configuration on Wayland using wl-paste, an external clipboard, and mouse selection in micro. Trace the terminal clipboard handling and compare selection behavior with the intended result: mouse selection should not replace the external Wayland clipboard while normal clipboard copying continues to work.
