Description
Description of the problem or steps to reproduce
Pressing either of these key combinations results in odd character sequences being emitted:
Ctrl-,: [27;5;44~]
Ctrl-.: [27;5;46~]
These key combinations are, perhaps as a side effect, unable to be bound to.

Reproduce the issue in micro on Arch Linux under Wayland using foot, pressing Ctrl-, and Ctrl-.. Start by tracing the terminal key-input handling that produces the reported sequences. Done means both combinations no longer emit stray characters and can be bound normally.
