Description

  1. Open Putty/Kitty/any? console
  2. copy some text from the PC you open the console on
  3. micro newfile.txt
  4. right click with mouse, or even CTRL+V

Pasting doesn't work.

It works great in nano.

Research direction

Reproduce the failure by opening micro newfile.txt through Kitty or PuTTY on Debian 10, then compare right-click and Ctrl+V behavior with nano. Trace the terminal paste/input handling in the micro source; done means copied PC text can be inserted through both reported paste methods.
