Description

Description of the problem or steps to reproduce

micro occasionally freezes if I apply autopep8 to open python script. In most cases it's completed normally, but sometime command bar and keybindings are disappearing and micro stops to answer even on Ctrl+C and Ctrl+Z. It still answer to Ctrl+Q, but the only way to continue to work is restart micro.

Command for autocorrection: autopep8 --in-place --aggressive --aggressive script.py

Research direction

Start by reproducing the freeze in micro with an open Python script and autopep8 --in-place --aggressive --aggressive script.py on the reported Ubuntu and terminal setup. Compare normal and frozen runs, including the behavior of Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Z, and Ctrl+Q. Done means identifying and resolving the condition that makes the command bar and keybindings disappear while micro stops responding.
