Description

^K cut line is really slow

Cutting line by CTRL+K is really slow, file was standard code file, I reproduced it in two different files.
File had less than 450 lines before cutting.
Other things (save, find) are working fine.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Ctrl+K cut-line slowdown at commit c51f849 using a code file under 450 lines, on the reported Ubuntu 18.04 and urxvt setup. Trace the Ctrl+K cut-line path and compare it with save and find; done means cutting a line is responsive and the behavior is verified against the reported case.
