Description

Reproduce:

  • Create a hero node
  • Select the node gap for hero.buttons
  • Press enter to create a button
  • Press enter again (scrolls to top; only happens in Safari)

The scroll to top happens only when:

  • whole button node is selected (or multiple button nodes)
  • all selected button nodes are empty (placeholder is shown)

Research direction

Start by reproducing the sequence in Safari: create a hero node, select the gap for hero.buttons, and press Enter twice. Investigate the input and selection handling for empty button nodes, including multiple selected nodes; done means pressing Enter no longer scrolls to the top under the reported conditions.
