Tell us the steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Open Safari
2. Navigate to Compact Tabs
3. Use arrow keys to navigate through, they jolt/flicker when you move, whereas in Chrome it is smooth

## 🧐 Expected behaviour
Not flicker, like it does not in Chrome.

Start by locating the Compact Tabs component in the TypeScript code and reproduce arrow-key navigation in Safari, comparing it with Chrome. Done means arrow-key movement no longer jolts or flickers in Safari while existing behavior remains intact.
