Description

I'd like to see the ability to select multiple contiguous files by starting a click-and-drag on the whitespace of a filename row.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the interaction described in the issue and compare it with the linked Finder example. Identify where file-row mouse dragging is handled; done means dragging from whitespace in a filename row selects contiguous files, while dragging directly on a filename still drags that file.
