Description

  1. Associate a file type with an app - eg. Atom with .less files
  2. fman displays Atom's icon for .less files 👍
  3. Uninstall Atom
  4. fman still display's Atom's icon for .less files

Finder on the other hand very briefly displays Atom's icon, then updates the view to show the generic "file icon".

Research direction

Reproduce the issue by associating .less files with Atom, uninstalling Atom, and refreshing fman. Trace the file-icon handling from that reproduction and verify that uninstalled applications no longer provide a stale icon, while remaining associations still display their icons.
