Description
After I visit a directory with about 1500 files, fman becomes unstable. Even if I go away to a different directory with 5-10 files, every directory change makes fman freeze. The only workaround is to restart fman.
I can reproduce this bug every time.

Research direction
Reproduce the freeze by visiting a directory with about 1,500 files, then changing to directories with 5–10 files. Trace the directory-change path to identify the retained work or state, and verify that repeated directory changes no longer freeze fman after leaving the large directory.
