Description

For my application I'm having to convert betweeen ES6 Map (https://tc39.es/ecma262/#sec-map-objects) and Object in order to pass in and out of .search() in URI.js
It would be beneficial if there was a way to get/set the search string in a URI using Map rather than Object

Research direction

Start at the .search() API and inspect how URI.js currently accepts and returns search parameters as Object properties. Trace both get and set paths, then define compatible Map behavior while preserving existing Object behavior; done means callers can use Map directly without conversion.
