Description

What type of issue is this?

Other

What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

Aside from the 'system color' row:

  • Compatibility data for AccentColor and AccentColorText seems to be outdated.
  • Compatibility data for ButtonBorder seems to be outdated.
  • It makes no sense for Mark and MarkText to be in the same row as ButtonBorder.

I'm basing the assessment of compatibility on the web platform tests linked from the spec. Based on the history timeline, all these values were implemented as of early 2024 (perhaps earlier). The failures could be due to bugs in wpt.

What browsers does this problem apply to, if applicable?

No response

Did you test this? If so, how?

No.

Can you link to any release notes, bugs, pull requests, or MDN pages related to this?

Research direction

Start with the MDN system-color page and the css.types.color.system-color query, then compare the AccentColor, AccentColorText, ButtonBorder, Mark, and MarkText data with the linked Web Platform Test results. Confirm whether the WPT failures are data or test issues, then update the compatibility table so the listed system colors are represented accurately.
