Description

Problem Description

without the speed dial, the homepage ui feels like it's missing. the same uniform horizontal scrolling suggestions throughout the page except for occasional quick picks can feel uninteresting. plus, it would be convenient to be able to pin and find your favourite stuff on repeat right at the start of the app instead of just big blocks of albums / playlists you have to scroll through

Proposed Solution

Adding a speed dial to the homepage

Alternative Solutions

or a general 3x2 recent tab like Spotify has, though speed dial from YouTube music feels more convenient and it looks better.

Additional Context

being able to pin stuff on it, and it should reflect on the actual stuff we listen to

Research direction

Start at the homepage UI entry point and trace how recently played and pinned albums or playlists are currently represented. Define the speed-dial layout and its relationship to recent listening before implementing it; done means the homepage shows relevant recent items and supports pinning favourites consistently.
